Bittersweet lolita

Hi guys. I've been meaning to write this post for a while now. I've been super busy, since i failed two of my classes at my school. My mom won't pay for me to retake them. (they were one of my english classes and my math class.) So now i'm going to go to a  community college down in a city near me. Of course since i lived at school i'll have to move out now. Which is what we're planning on doing today. I lost xavier (my digital camera) a while ago so this would be awesome for a photo posts, but i can't give you that since i lost him. Oh well. Onto the post.

I want this print so bad.

Bittersweet lolita is one of the substyles of lolita. It's darker then sweet but sweeter then gothic. It mainly uses sweet prints with black as the main color, or part of the print. PinkxBlack is a very popular colorway, but it can be any color mixed with black. Some brands (and bodyline) have released prints in a black colorway. Angelic pretty is one of the most popular, metamorphose, and baby. I like it because i'm not stuck  between the 'throw up rainbow pastel' sweet and the 'beautifully decadent' gothic pieces. I can have the sweet prints i adore while still being adorable. I also have much more black clothes than any other color so i can coordinate the prints as well. It's really useless if you have a lot of sweet prints but completely unable to coordinate them. It's not a very popular substyle but i like it. If you like it then it doesn't matter how popular it is.

Heres the daily_lolita bittersweet tag so you can look at all the prettiness. Bodyline also has a good assortment of bittersweet clothes.

Rococo Lolita

Hello everyone. I've always loved classic lolita next to gothic it was my favorite style. I didn't really like sweet back then. (If you hadn't noticed the posts on here it got me eventually. :P)

My favorite style of classic is the more rococo inspired dresses. With the right coordination you could appear to have stepped right out of a book. Curly hair piled high up on your head was popular. Maybe with a few curls hanging down. Make up back then was full of lead and mercury (among other ridiculously poisonous metals.) so don't try to be ~*oh so hardcore*~ you'll end up dead. Waists were tiny with the help of tightly laced corsets. Corsets aren't necessary for classic lolita.

All pictures are from hello lace with dresses from angelic pretty, baby, millefleur, innocent world, and mary magdelene.

New brand print! Moon Night Theatre

Hello everyone i Just saw a post from Angelic Pretty on angelicpoodle announcing their new print! I'm not sure if it did Just come out or they're late in annoucing it. So if this is old news sorry about that. I just thought it was too adorable not to make a post about it.

The five colorways and print

Here is the page with everything in the set.
Small hairbows

Large hairbows

The Jumperskirts. They also have tiered jsks. The design looks the same though.

The skirts only come in these two colors.

The one pieces.

The socks.

I am really excited about this print because now there is finally an ap version of baby's border print. I've always wanted that for just how silly and brand whore-y it was. Baby is not my favorite brand so that would be false advertising. I love all the colors except for pink. (But i'm sure pink would look good on someone else.) My Favorite is the one piece in wine. It's not that terribly expensive. Which is good as long as the price doesn't skyrocket, like seemingly every other print i like. I think my laptops monitor is a bit off though because the green appears to be blue but it's cute either way.

What are your thoughts on this print? Do you think it tacky? Is it so tacky it's lovable? Do you like it? Love it?   Want to burn it in your fireplace? Tell me your thoughts and if you're planning on buying it.

Metamorphose and spongebob

That's an odd combination but they're not related. (They appear in the same post but other then that it's not a post about meta releasing a spongebob/spongebob inspired print.) (but holy shit i would buy that up so quick.)

But no that's not what this is about.  I guess i'll get the spongebob out the way first. So i got music onto dennis (my laptop) and i'm currently playing some of my favorite emilie autumn songs. While i am watching the spongebob movie. But i muted the movie so i could the songs. The funny thing is that the music seems to match pretty well to the movie which makes the movie better and funnier. Cause like what? It's spongebob and Emilie autumn. Oh well it's silly fun.

But the main reason for this post is that ever since i started to look at hello lace i've found a growing love for metamorphose. I never paid much attention to them since i /hate/ their site navigation and didn't like the prints on their site anyways. But oh my god some of their older prints. (or prints not on the site anymore but still this year.) Baby, (frills. ribbons. chiffon.) Angelic Pretty, (cute. little. prints.) Innocent world, (pretty. no. matter. what. they. release. almost.) and now Meta are my favorite brands. I really just want to own all the prints which is silly since it's brand so that would cost me my soul. But a girl can dream can't she?

My favorite prints right now from meta. (i'll try and not post all of their stuff.) In no real order at all.

 Candy star rabbit JSK
This is one of the few dresses by any brand that i want it in more then one colorway. It's just so pretty and the rabbit looks like a marshmellow peep. I love stripes too! It also has a nutcrackery feel to it. To me it does atleast. This also has three skirts in this set. (I'm aware of the third skirt that i found on hellolace but it was the exact same as the second skirt just in two colors instead of four. So i didn't feel the need to post it.)

Princess crown bouquet ribbon JSK
Aside from the weird ish shape of the skirt i love it. Mainly for the reason that the blue flowers in the middle look like squirtle. At a quick glance i always see squirtle for a split second. Making this the coolest jsk to ever exsist. (Except for maybe a real pokemon jsk.)

Happy cake skirt
Holy shit! It's a skirt with a cake castle on it! Yeah i'm pretty sure this has been done before by other brands and other companies. But i would wear this whenever eating cake or my birthday. Or anyone else's birthday. Pretty much any excuse i can get to whip it out.

March of ducks JSK
I don't even know what this is. Once i saw it once i fell in love with it. Plus it's fucking ducks! Marching! Instant classic print!

Perfume bottle JSK
I like both the skirt version of this and the jsk version. The skirt version would be better with a plain black top for a more casual lolita outfit. While this is more fancy. I don't know why it's just pretty. Perfume bottles are always so pretty. I keep mine so i can line them up.

Twinkle Journey JSK
I know i posted this here before. But it's really cute and adorable. I just can't help but repeat it. It's so pretty. While this does have a skirt, i don't feel anything for it. I'd probably buy it if it came up, but theres no desire for skirt over jsk.
